Principal's Message

Education is not merely imparting knowledge or information but it is an ongoing process of formation. It can be formal or informal, the important aspect is, it has a formative effect in the way one thinks, feels and acts. According to Aristotle “The purpose of education is to edify oneself and be beneficial to society.” Undoubtedly, education is both, for personal as well as social development and enhancement of an individual and society. The pursuit of knowledge and rendering of service to humanity should go hand in hand.

In this modern fast changing technological world, most people seems to understand the need for education and the important role it plays in the life of a child or individual, in the society and the world at large.

Debasish Mridha says “True education should teach us how to think, how to see the beauty in the midst of ugliness, how to love without judging, how to find opportunity to help and how to develop a peaceful and nonviolent society.” An important aspect of education is to contribute in creating a peaceful and harmonious society promoting genuine love and friendship. It is essential for the well being of an individual to keep a good relationship with God and with one another. The social responsibility of an educated person is to appreciate and uphold our social values and be motivated to social action especially to social justice. True education gives you power. Education and experience makes you wise. If we take education as a way of life we will not grow tired of learning something new, every step in our way. Never stop learning because life never stops teaching! Wherever we are and whatever we may be doing, our life shows forth what we have learnt. The quality of education is not determined by the degree one earns, rather, how compassionate and loving, how humble and authentic, how one enhances the dignity of a human being and how human one is! When we truly educate ourselves, we will realize that life is worth living. So, the purpose of true education is to make an excellent human being in other words an enlightened person.
